Default Rocky Mtn. aspen cane

Finished the carving this evening. Just to give you an idea of the size of this carving the face from the bill of the cap to the bottom of the beard measures 2 & 1/4- inchs the width of the face measuring 1 & 1/4 -inchs. The cane is 39" in length and is 1.5" at the bottom of the handle and tappers down to 7/8 of an inch at the tip. I have a total of 5.5 hours in this carving from start to applying the finish.

This is another carving that I wish I could watch being carved. I simply can't grasp the process that creats such tiny, perfect details. Great face in such a small space!
Thanks for showing the different angles.
