there are a couple of stickcarving forums on the web to, if thats what you are interested in.........I have done a couple dozen sticks...have to try everything lol

Dear Cindy, you are describing my current condition...(...When I was a beginning carver, I was extremely hungry for information of all kinds. I wanted to find out where to buy good wood and what were the best tools and how can I become a better carver.

I wasted some money on cheap tools and wood that was hard as a rock. I bought carving books with confusing directions....) Now I can hope one day to be as good as some of you. I only hope I dont have to wait too long because I am not the youngest. Thanks for your efforts. I look forward to enjoy your articles with my new subscription to Wood Carving Illustrated.

Hi everyone, I have moved up to Northern Alberta, Canada, and have access to tons of diamond willow, spruce burls and animal antlers. Now I just need your guidance in making something beautiful from my rough findings. I will take advantage of any free lessons I can find. I will be checking out Cyndi's site.
