When I open the Videodownloadhelper, where do I go from there? As you can tell I'm not the best at this computer thing. May have more questions later, hope you don't mind. Greg |

Ron, thanks for the information, I downloaded the RealPlayer and after that my computer would not play any video files. I tried several on YouTube and it said I needed to download the newest version of FlashPlayer or my Javascript is turned off. The only way I could correct was to remove RealPlayer. Any suggestions? Thanks Greg |

Hi, Here's my situation. I only have dial-up connection at home. Far too slow for utube, but I have access to high speed internet at work. Is it possible to use the u-tube downloader to download videos at work, then put them on a CD or flashdrive and take them home to use on my home computer? What do you think would be the best way to do this. Oh, both computers are using I.E. instead of firefox. Thanks for your help, Russ |

Atube Catcher is a free program and will download for Ipod Touch. Easy to use and works for most anything. Larry |

Ok, got it done! Downloaded the u-tube downloader, converted them to wmv files, loaded them to a jump drive and can take them home! WAY easier than I thought it would be. I can't wait to start watching carving videos at home. Russ |

I guess you learn something new everyday... I never attempted the downloader feature on youtube... I will try it though... This thread has some great answers... I know of 2 other programs, but you have to pay a monthly fee, and commit to them annually.

Lately, I have been using RealPlayer to download videos. It has been working really well. Before that I used Freecorder but I switched from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome and could not figure our how to make Freecorder work. But RealPlayer has been working flawlessly so far. I have never tried to use my cell phone for this but I only use it to make calls out anyway. I assume any vids you download to your computer you could upload to your cell though, eh? Dunno.
