Default For you dove lovers out there!

Here are some pictures of a dove which is nesting in our pomegranite tree next to the patio. The first 5 were taken on April 9.

Those are some excellent pics. of the dove. I'm sure they build the worst nests of any in the bird world. We used to have some build close to our cabin in Saskachewan and they reminded me of the "Pick up sticks" we used to play when we were kids.

YTou are right, they build the worst nests possible lol, if you call a dozen twigs a nest! They are beautiful little birds and we hate to see the babies dead on our place, so I took some wire strainers I got
at a local store cheap, cut the handles off and wired them in several trees, they always seem to nest in the same areas, they used them and being tied down, the wind didn't blow them and the babies out!

Hi, this is my first time one here so forgive me if this isn't the right forum to ask for feather pattern of mourning dove.
Thanks Bob.
You can send a pattern to r_sider@sympatico,ca

Robert if no one comes up with the feather pattern before tomorrow , I'll email it to you. I have it in the shop, but it too late tonight to get it.
