Default Need pirate photo

Hey there,
I'm looking for a good pirate photo. The part I need is the clothing, I can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

Thank you,
Dan

The second pirate was Keith Richards from the Disney movie "At World's End". And I have to agree with you, he is well armed. The soveneirs of shrunken heads at his hip are really cool too and would look great along with a carving of him. Richard's played caption jack's father in the movie. The pictures are from a book titled The Art of "Pirates of the Caribbean", a welcome book by Disney. I bought this one at Barnes & Noble $85.00 black leather cover with 160 pictures with a good mixture of black, white and color. Very little text in the book with, captions for each picture. This book is loaded with great reference materail for anyone wanting to carve pirates. As soon as I get caught up with prior commitments I plan on indulging further in and trying some pirate carving of my own. Heres a few more photos from the book. The first three are from the sequel " The Curse of the Black Pearl" and the forth is Davy Jones from"At World's End". Hope you enjoyed the DVD!

Thanks,

Mark

Thank you,
I'll try to track down the book. The pirate I'm carving is not the most successful. He sort of along the lines of Blackbeard's idiot nephew. His ship is a rowboat with a few large holes and a patched sail. I'm starting to sculpt the pirate in clay tonight. We'll see how he truns out.

Thanks again for your help.

Dan

Dan, your idea sounds like it will make a good one, can't wait to see this guy you've imagined.
here is a picture of Jack Sparrow. I'm actually working on a high relief bust of him right now. (pics on the wips forum)

I was going to suggest you get a photo of Hi Ho, but then he doesn't pose for photos.

I had to order that book, it's on the way. I ordered a 'cheap' one though, no leather cover for me. Hope to find some ideas for my pirate caricature body, clothes and do-dads. Thanks.
