Default Native American (Indian) reference books

I just picked up two great books today full of large pictures of Native Americans that I highly recommend for reference material.

Native American Portraits, Text by Nancy Hathaway, 115 pages with nearly all having quality, large pictures EXCELLENT book for $19.95

Sacred Legacy, Edward S. Curtis and the North American Indian
198 pages with nearly 200 pictures some as large as 13” x 10” another excellent book with great pictures although retail price was $60.00 I found it in the bargain bin for $19.98, new.

Thanks for passing this along Tony. I'll keep an eye out for these resources the next time I'm at Chapters or the library.

You want some pictures of Indians? here are some really good ones....

oh and you notice I called them indians...thats the correct name and has nothing to do with India, found out india wasn't india then ...it was something like Hindustani or something.....just more from the politically correct crowd! and having a bit of cherokee indian blood in my veins, never cared much for the term "native american" anyway.....besides, takes to much time to type and ink to print

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

oops

Sorry Hi Ho no offence intended, thanks for correcting me.

If I could change the topic title for you or anyone else that didn’t care for it I would…(Bob a little help please?)

That is a great web site, one I already have in my favorites. I have a ton of pic’s I’ve printed off the net but the quality and size isn’t always the best. The photos in these two books are better quality then I can print off, so for me that is worth the price.

No offense taken, in fact I just read about this recently, so don't feel bad....it just seems sometimes that when we are being fed a line from ...whoever .. is feeding us a line lol.....we need to acknowledge it!

How about First Nations? I always preferred that...it pays homage to the civilization they had here in North America before the coming of the Europeans...

I'd be happy to change it!

I just wanted to pass along , what I thought was, some good reference material
In an effort to keep this from getting political can we just add "Indians" after NA?

I'm not trying to make anything political either...I've got my own hangups about the terms (searching for the one that's right for me)! I'll change it to Indians!
