Those pics were taken with a Canon Powershot S3, need to get a teleconverter for it for a little more reach.

I really enjoyed the wildlife pictures. Are the two rivers in the desert, or is it ferile land around it? like the Nile in Egypt? What is the name of the goose with the red around it's eye? We use to raise ormantel waer fowl.. These are very good pictures of wildlife.. Charlotte

There are two rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates, a lot of farming land around them. The place I was at was a Bathe party resort of sorts. Here in the states, we have grass to display wealth, there in the dessert, they use water.

I got the teleconverter last night, now I am just waiting for the adapter for it, so hope to get some good shots of NC/WV wildlife soon.

Thanks Woodie.. I think it would be exiciting to see the land of the Bible, wlhere so many many things took place. It's great to see the wildlife that is there . I am looking forrward to seeing what you take with your new equiptment. The Nile overflows into a Delta which is rich farm land but those rivers probably don't over flow but still have good farm land. Keep taking those great pictures.. Charlotte
