Re: The eagle Lady Ash, that is an interesting link......we monitor the online Homer and Kenai Pennisula newspapers and have seen these article before. I had to laugh at the comment from the Florida photog, who visits Alaska regularly. He said he hates to see the eagles fighting over the food, and hopes they don't hurt each other. Just what does he think these birds do in the wild, away from the feeding areas. I haven't seen a wild animal yet that is "pleasant" when feeding. He should just watch the deer in the yarding areas in the winter.....they kick the heck out of each other, especially yhe weak and injurred. I've watched them for many years and they fight so hard over "grazing rights" that they will break legs, dislocate hips and open up terrible cuts on the head and shoulders. Believe me, Bambi, they ain't. and watching the eagles fight over fish on the ice in the spring isn't much different.
Still that is an interesting article, and if you get a chance to go to the Homer spit, make sure you check out the "Eagle Lady", and some of the other more interesting folks around there.
