Bird Illustrations and info database

I've come across a couple of websites that provide excellent illustrations of a large number of birds. One for North America, one for Europe.

The North American bird site has 891 species alone. The European site has about 550.

I was amazed at the level of detail provided in the illustrations. You don't always get that kind of detail from a photograph.

Even if you are not a bird carver, the images are definitely worth a look. They are absolutely gorgeous.

UPDATE

I've also found a wealth of photos on an ebay store site. There are hundreds of close up pictures of bird carvings. I am not promoting the site for personal gain, or anything like that... but the photos that are available here would make excellent study material for budding bird carvers, and possibly even for those who've been at it a while.

It's definitely worth taking a look at.
