Default Yet, another attempt at carving

Took me a couple of weeks on this oak boy. Geez, oak is oak!

wisardd, that looks great! You're right: oak is definitely oak. I kinda gave up on the oak until I get some better tools or develop just a little more patience.

You did really well on such a hard wood. I'm trying to carve Pecan which is like Oak.

The wood is from an oak tree that was in my backyard. Coastal Oak I believe. I have a ton of it. He is probably about 12-14 inches in height and probably 5-6 inches wide (side to side and front to back). I appreciate all the feedback. Thanks everyone.
