Default X-mass carvin

Just got done with this.Thought I`d try something a little different.
More bark.That`s what I got so that`s what I use.Got grandson on my lap so I hope I got it all on there.

That is an incredible carving. I have only done Gnome homes in cottonwood, I have got to try a face. Again, what a great job on the face!

Beautiful piece of work. The face detail is spectacular. I love the beard "blown in the wind" effect. First class carving!!!

Thanks for the cudo`s. I started this X-mass eve and finished X-mass morn waiting for the grandkids to come.It was something to keep me busy while waiting. It`s the first time I have tried the realistic look.I think the forehead is a little to high but come to think of it ,my own is getting that way too.
