Very good job with the eyes. They are looking in the same direction. That's not easy to do. His profile is realistic too. Good job. I look forward to seeing a photo again when it has its finish on it. Works in progress are so inspiring.

VERY nicely done! From the look of the side view I'd be tempted to continue caving the hair all the way around to the rear side. From the pictures I'm guessing that it's about 2 feet high... just a fun uneducated guess? :-) For some reason that bark kinda looks like maybe red oak? Ok, I'll quit with all the prying. Can't wait to see the progress!

Hehe, He is out of Catulpa, and is 7 1/2" X 3''. This is one of the few peices of wood that I brought from Arkansas when I moved. I left half a tree of the stuff and a large Cherry log also. Thanks for the comments GaryMc

Nicely done, great expression and detail. The side view, the hair looks so real. Great job. Bob

Gee-Whiz! My guessing days are over! It sure looked like it was sitting on a park bench to me. Well done and I'm going back to carving!

Lightning your close on that guess, it's on a porch swing that I use for my pictures these days. GaryMc Talking
