Default Wood Spirit

Carving #9 partially complete and another learning experience under my belt. I recently bought Irish's wood spirit book and thought I would try to make the wood spirit hat rack for a gift (although, I'm not sure I enlarged the pattern enough to actually make it useful as a hat rack). I've got the face done but still need to carve up the wood plank to mount it.

Had to take quite a break in the middle once I realized I needed some different gouges and had to wait for them to arrive. I bought a couple of Denny bent gouges and I sure do like them.

Thanks for looking,

Brian

Thanks everyone.

Susan, thanks for the comments! Hopefully I did it justice. The detailed steps with all the pics in your books are very helpful to a beginner.

Do you recall where you purchased the bull nose chisel you mention in your book. I'm having a hard time locating one.
