Love the facial features!! Great execution! I haven't found the courage to carve in anything but basswood. The guy at Dorrance art supply near my house has a box of found wood, and I'll be heading over there this week and have been thinking of grabbing some while I'm there. I do alot of business there, so he'll probably just give me some, (He's a great guy). I wwish I could capture faces as well as what you've done with this guy. I know...practice, practice, practice. Any way, love it!

Thankyou Lennie,Jim,Bonnie and Colin for looking at my carving and your nice comments.I would love to try carving basswood someday.I've never bought wood to carve yet, because I think I would be to afraid of messing it up.LOL.There's so much driftwood here at the beach and rivers, it's great to learn how to carve on.
