| | Re: wood spirit Love the facial features!! Great execution! I haven't found the courage to carve in anything but basswood. The guy at Dorrance art supply near my house has a box of found wood, and I'll be heading over there this week and have been thinking of grabbing some while I'm there. I do alot of business there, so he'll probably just give me some, (He's a great guy). I wwish I could capture faces as well as what you've done with this guy. I know...practice, practice, practice. Any way, love it! |

| | Re: wood spirit Thankyou Lennie,Jim,Bonnie and Colin for looking at my carving and your nice comments.I would love to try carving basswood someday.I've never bought wood to carve yet, because I think I would be to afraid of messing it up.LOL.There's so much driftwood here at the beach and rivers, it's great to learn how to carve on. |
