Default Wizard staff

Again this is cedar and is 78 inches right now.Wanted to try a face at the top just in case I needed to cut it off and re try but it's improving as I go.

I was thinking I might try to start with a rope spiral or snake skin spiral and as it goes up slowly change from one to the other. From there into dragon skin and finally into the wizards beard spiraling up like it's transforming into a wizard.

I'm thinking about maybe putting another face on the back side too but it seems like I'm trying to make a career out of this one staff. It's ok though,I'm enjoying it.

The fifth picture is of a unfinished Dragon I want to mount between the hands and attempt to make the right Dragon foot rest on the thumb of the bottom hand and the other in the palm.Having a hard time deciding about the head but think I want to make it upside down like it is preening.I just started carving this thing without drawing it or knowing if I could do it so just trying to do the best I can.
