| | WIP Red Cedar Spirit Well here is the rough put phase of another Wood spirit, Take a look, I will be posting as I go, so keep standing by with bated breath, hehe. the peice of drift wood is 20"tall x 7" wide(at the face) x 2-1/2" thick. There will be a larger picture in my gallery if ya want to see it.

| | Re: WIP Red Cedar Spirit Gary, Looks like a fun piece of wood I love the flow to the piece found wood and driftwood are so much fun to carve because you see the carving before you actually plan it. Nice job so far keep us posted.

| | Re: WIP Red Cedar Spirit Hi Gary, looks like you have a nice piece of driftwood to work with, and I think your work looks good. I was wondering what do you use to hold your wood in place while you carve. I've been using my hubby's work bench vise. I put bubble wrap between the work and the vise jaws. I love that I can have both hands free to carve and I find I don't make as many slips with the knife or chisel.
