my current project is a face carved out of Black cherry. The grain is beautiful, but unfortunately I will be sharpening a few of my tools tomorrow.

Hi mateo, are you going to share some progress images with us? Are you using all hand tools or maybe some powercarving. Sounds like the Black Sherry might be tough on tools and sharpening needed often?

I have enjoyed watching your progress with your carving, but for some reason it never occurred to me that I could do the same. But I do have my chisels sharp. ( For now)
I don't use power tools. I really like to whack chisels with my mallet.
When you show progress images, then you have impatient people like me saying things like " Hey where's that thur indian you was workin on" and i don't want to be rushed, you know?

LOL, mateo oh please don't let that stop you. Actually we are a patient lot because we know we like to take our time also. Somes times you can get a few steps already done before you upload them instead of say one at a time. What I do sometimes is take a picture of my carving at the end of the working session for that day. Or other times I take several images as I go along just depends.
I'm thinking about adding a WIP page to my web site. I had one on my old site and got a good response from folks.
Well, anyway don't mean to press you keep on doing what you do so well.
