basswood on pallets? humm never seen any, wonder what a soft wood pallet would carry? would be nice to find some of those here!

Cliff... As I've mentioned once before I heated with wood for over 30-years, mainly old pallets (we don't need a lot of heat down here) but I've yet to run across any pallets made out of basswood....mostly oak and pine.

Up here it is quite common to use basswood for the stringers to cut down on dunnage weight. I have been recycling pallets and using cut-offs from the local pallet plant for years.
