Default William The WoodSpirit

Here is a new on I finally finished, nt sure what kind of wood but I liked carving it! Take a look, all commens and critque valued!

I like it, I wish I could capture the eyes like you do. I seem to really have a hard time with the eyes. Very excellent job.

Tidewater: I have been trying to make the eyes in the style of Jeff Phares, still have a way to go tho.
Bart: the finish is Danish oil, only have one coat on so far.

Great job on the wood spirit. The Danish oil (which I have never tried) has a nice color. I have one of Jeff Phares books and its interesting how his method of doing eyes is quite a bit different to how I was taught - its definitely working for you.

He is really nice! I love the way you have captured his eyes. The finish has very nice light and dark tones to it and really adds character. Very, very nice!
