| | Re: William The WoodSpirit Thanks for the comments! Tidewater: I have been trying to make the eyes in the style of Jeff Phares, still have a way to go tho. Bart: the finish is Danish oil, only have one coat on so far.

| | Re: William The WoodSpirit Great job on the wood spirit. The Danish oil (which I have never tried) has a nice color. I have one of Jeff Phares books and its interesting how his method of doing eyes is quite a bit different to how I was taught - its definitely working for you.

He is really nice! I love the way you have captured his eyes. The finish has very nice light and dark tones to it and really adds character. Very, very nice!
