| | West coast Raven Madd of red and yellow cedar with abalone inlay, a bit of paint. About 8" high.
Accoding to west coast lore, Raven stole Sun from Oldman who was keeping it for himself, and released it.

| | Re: West coast Raven Good design....don't think I have ever seen yellow cedar? I know I haven't seen the red cedar from up there....have a small piece from arkansas I believe that is the most beautiful cedar I have ever seen, but am saving it for ???? lol |

| | Re: West coast Raven I always enjoy this type of art/carvings. I've burned a variety of symbols similar to this on paddles I have made. Did you get the idea off a website or a book? I'm always on the lookout for Native art.
