Default Walking sticks for senior walkers

Last week I gave the first stick I ever made to a senior walker at the local senior center. Little did I know that there was a new nature walking group that just started. So now I am trying to complete one each day so each member can have one. These are the second and third sticks that I have ever made....Kinda fun to do..TOM H

That's just the kind of thing that would make my day if (or when) I were in the senior home!! Very thoughtful of you.

The sticks look great and I'm betting that they're made from broom sticks or at least that's what it looks like. I like the beading on the wrist strap too... nice touch!

Thanks!

At the last count I may do 10 walking sticks. One of the sticks pictured is made from a closet hanger bar (1 1/2"). I think its spruce or some other difficult wood. But only $6.00. The other is 170 year old poplar, ripped from an old plank. I have lots of this so the rest of the sticks will be made from it. Thanks all, this is great practice. Tom H
