You're right Arnie, those chaps are short! They're known as Chinks and are meant to protect just the upper part of the leg. They're much more confortable to wear that the longer version and you'll see the working cowboys using them now more than the others. Naturally, where there is a lot of brush the full chaps would continue to be worn. This is a good example of why I like to carve

s so much. There are so many different little details that you can use to make your carvings really unique. Thanks for your comment and interest.
