You're right Arnie, those chaps are short! They're known as Chinks and are meant to protect just the upper part of the leg. They're much more confortable to wear that the longer version and you'll see the working cowboys using them now more than the others. Naturally, where there is a lot of brush the full chaps would continue to be worn. This is a good example of why I like to carve s so much. There are so many different little details that you can use to make your carvings really unique. Thanks for your comment and interest.

No problem Arnie....before I started carving these wranlers I had no idea what Chinks were either. Well, actually I did but I have long ago learned that it was politically incorrect.

Nice carving Lynn. Detailed to the max as usual, which I like more than anything. Tried adding a little more color to latest carving I am working on and presto, results were improved a lot. Can't wait to see this fellow painted. Thanks for sharing!

As always, Lynn.....just FANTASTIC! I watch for your work all the time. I am inspired by the minute details you put in all your carvings and even in caricature, they are soooooooooo realistic! Waiting for the paint job now...Bonnie
