Default "A VERY 'FROSTY' notion for the Wife". . . . . .

This little Snowman is for the Wife's snowman collection. Standing 6" tall x 5" wide x 3" deep. Nearly done after a couple days carving, and soon to be placed on my finishing table. It's getting pretty crowded there, should quit carving and start painting. Just gotta get in the mood. Maybe a Country Christmas CD or two and some eggnog.
Seems that I'm whittling away at my Christmas list sort of early but it's a little longer this year.

I like this. I am still new and have a hard time getting smooth looking surfaces. All of mine still have little carving dips in my wood. Any tip or trick i should do to get that smooth surface look?

Awesome job Dennis! He has a nice motion to him. I'm sure he will look great once he is painted, and that your wife will love him.

Very nice Dennis. I know what you are going through as my wife also has a very large snowman collection. I showed her the pictures of yours and guess what? I just got a "commission" to carve another snowman..............
Thanks for sharing;
Soggy
