Default Update on the tree carving

Hi Gang,
This heat is going to kill me the temp was in the 90's yesterday and today and carving was really no fun. No shade I was all in when I finished yesterday. Here is an update on the carving. I hope I am not boring you guys with this if so please tell me. I have the eagle pretty well completed except for the detail and eyes. The woodspirits are also complete except for the eyes. I decided to make the long limb a fist holding a long staff (This was on your suggestions) that back limb not sure yet may cut it off. Here are some updated pictures.
Will post more as I complete it.
Colin

Such great wood spirits! I like the extended arm in the design and the eagle is turning out very well.
This is not boring! My favorite parts of this message board are watching projects in progress and learning from the feedback.
Keep us up to date please and wear a wet hat or a scarf around your neck while you're working, and drink plenty of water. In other words, take care of yourself.

Everything is coming together nicely Colin. You must have some large gouges to do carvings of that magnitude. Keep the pictures coming.

Outstanding Colin.....and not bored in the least!!! Quite the reverse! Please, keep us posted and how about some close ups of that eagle when you get the head done. Looking great!
