| | update on the new tree carving Hi gang,
I have been working pretty this week on that new carving. I have it pretty well roughed out. I decided to take your advice some what. I think the wood spirit with the eagle on his head is a better fit the other side is another woodspirit. The long arm I think will be a hand holding a flag or a sword not sure yet. I am having a brain fart about the limb in the rear. Maybe I will just cut it off. Any way here are some pictures of the progress. Any comments people will be very welcome I love constructive critisism.

| | Re: update on the new tree carving I expect you have a few looking on while your doing your thing. The eagle will be quite a sight when its finished. I'm too green a carver to give you any advise but I'm keen on hearing what others have to say.

You never cease to impress me.
As far as the back branch is concerned , I think I would wait , until the rest is finished then step back look and then make the choice.
Will be a wonder work when complete either way !

Great design with the eagle on the woodspirits head. What a dramatic scene!
I look forward to seeing what you come up with for that big branch in the back. No idea what to suggest. It is going to be a powerful piece when you're done, so the idea of the hand holding a weapon of some sort (even an axe) would fit in with the overall strength expressed. I'm sure you'll do it proud.
Wonderful to see you works in progress again.
