| | Unity Candle Holder I have been "lurking" on this board for a while now absorbing a huge amount of information and learning many new techniques and thought it was about time I joined the fun!! Most of my carvings to date have been for myself, just for fun and to develop some basic carving skills. A co-worker of mine was getting married and asked if I could carve a Unity candel holder for her, I reluctantly agreed and told her to find an alternative source in case I did not get it finished in time. To make a long story short I finished on time, and the rewards of doing a project for someone else were great. The designing of the project, the look on her face when I gave her the completed candle holder and the compliments from the other wedding attendees made all of the stress that I went through well worth it. The wood is spanish cedar that I got from the scrap bin at my local hardwood supplier (left over from a deck) and finished with 3 coats of poly. Curtis |

| | Re: Unity Candle Holder Well done, that's a beautiful piece of work. Feels great, doesn't it, when you can tap into skills that you didn't know you had or how much others appreciate them. Great job.
