Boy, you sure got ol' Barney down pat! Had a chuckle over that one. I'm not sure you should paint him...looks great just as is. The rest are good too and maybe you could paint them........maybe.

Brian, they each have their own charm. Barney looks like he is going to speak any minute. The second guy looks very reverent and the little guy is adorable. I agree with not painting Barney too.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I agree that I will not paint Barney. The color of his skin and the uniform would be so close to the basswood it wouldn't do much to enhance the piece. Thanks again for the encouragement.
