Default UFO Sighting

While I had the camera out I thought I would share some of my UFO's (unfinished objects). Maybe if I share them I will muster up the will to finish them. The first is a bust I started 2 summers ago in a class with Fred Cogelow. It's Barney Fife. The next is a bust I started after that class with Fred. I thought I would try things on my own without any help. The last one is a small caricature that I have been messing with. I'm not completely happy with it and I keep working it. One day he'll probably be just a pile of chips. As always your honest opinions and comments are always welcome.

Brian

Hi Brian,

Those are really nice carvings. I know how you feel about them. I have a bunch of UFOs and it's usually something that's just not right that causes me to put it down.

They are really good and I hope you finish them.

HA! Those are great and Barney Fife looks pi**ed! What great wrinkles! I have UFo's all over tha dang place! And I will now officially call them that! I could quit working on new things right now and be busy for months on end just finishing up...lol...but wheres the fun in that?! Thanx for sharing-you have a real flare for carving attitude!

Clean up under the hat bill and collar on Barney and put some sealer on it and then proudly display it. I love the way the suspenders are away from the shirt on the little guy. Great job....now go finish!
