If that's the last one, I'm sorry I missed the rest because that is one fine piece of work. I've seen that panther as a tattoo but this is the first carving of it I've seen and you did a great job.

THANKS, like I said I'm my own worst critic, putting the upper fangs in the mouth will be a challenge, I'm thinking about drilling a small hole from the top and gluing a over size toothpick in the hole, shape it before I put it in. The jury still out about the claws, same application as the fangs.

You right about the panther, I have one on my right fore arm and one on my left one. the right one is called SEMPER the left one is called FIDELIS.

The attachment is the one I thought was my last one, that one lay ed around my cellar for 30 year, haft done. To be honest with you this web site and the artist's that frequent this web site gave me the inspiration to finish it.

Good luck with the fangs. I installed fangs on two carvings and its not as easy as one would thing. Your challenge is that much harder with the teeth being so small. Either way, your carving turned out nicely.

SEMPER FI, Devil Dog! Fantastic job, on BOTH of these works you've done. One of my projects coming up is going to be the Eagle, Globe, & Anchor (EGA) for my girlfriends uncle, who was in IWO JIMA. Being a former Marine myself, I thought it would be kind of fitting anyways. Keep up the great work! Keep on carving!!

Dan, I don't what you have planed as far as the (EGA) I finished the one I carved last year, I have a record of how I caved it. I can post it on this thread, or send the pics. to you via yahoo.

One thing I can tell you, if it come out the way you planned, you won't want to part with it. Make two, one for you and one to go.

Well to start with HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, finished him last night, to be honest with you, I took 20/30 picks. and none of them really came close to the real think, you barely can see the nail or claws but they are there.
