I have been trying to work on some detail on the Indian bust. I thought I would show a progress picture or two. I still think I need to work on the face some I am not sure what I need to do. I also need to do something with the hand it don't feel right. So help me out with your ideas comments etc.
Ron

Outstanding carving Ron. I think it is definatly native looking I love the detail you have put into it. As for the hand, feel your own hand and see how it tapers from the palm to the wrist also I only see four fingers but that maybe just the picture. Also I think the fingers are a little too plump in proportion to the rest of the carving. Having said all that it is a fabulous carving I could not do half as well the comments are only to help not to find fault as I know you cant see the carving. Really well done my friend cant wait for the finished product.

Colin

The "A" word comes to mind my friend, "AWESOME".
Had a couple over last night and I was telling them about you and being a carver. I don't think they believed me till I showed them you work, Made believers out of them and they sat there stunned and the only words were WOW and AMAZING.
I agree with Colin, Hand is a little to thick and fingers need to be rounded more.
But then, To carve like you.
