Almost ready to do some preliminary sanding.
Got to fine tune the shape.
Sand and then carve in the head details.

What a great project! I've been wanting to carve several salmon to hang in my porch entrance but have been putting it off...now after seeing your work, I'm thinking about finally starting one... Can't wait to see more photos as your carving progresses... Thanks for sharing!

Well,
I've got the shape mostly roughed out.
The fins are cut out.
More refining to do.
