 Tree update Rather than drag out the old post,,wherever it is,,I just decided to post these as an update.The right side is pretty much done,,except for the section that wraps around the cabinet itself,,the center is complete,,and the left side is next. Here you can see the basic sketch in the last pic of where I want the leaves and branches to go. I'd really like to see them go out of my shop,,,but that time is coming soon,,,  |

 Re: Tree update Mark .. once again .. a beautiful piece .. Those leaves are so artistic .. How you do it freehand is beyond me .. the drawing and carving both .. You are a true artist with those chisels .. Everything looks perfect .. You are a certainly a inspiration to us all with this kind of work .. Great job Mark ... | Re: Tree update Mark, Wow, what a piece of work. The piece is beautiful and I look forward to seeing the finished project. Did you give any thought to putting a hillbilly peeking out from behind one of the leaves  . Somehow I don't think that would fit into the sceme of things. Please don't take that as an insult, just a caricature carvers attempt at humor. Your work is outstanding and I only wish I could do as well !Jim OH |
