Thanks Chuck,

I didn't put a clock on the staining but I started a CD and finished about the same time.....about 45 mins. It'l be about an hour and twenty for carving the 10, 3" letters. Prime em, clear em and gild em and I'm done. About a days work for everything, beginning to end.

Chuck,..........I'm worried about your flashbacks....

Are you using Acrylic washes or actual stains? It looks so watercolor like - VERY beautiful and you're quite skilled at painting as well obviously.

Regarding the "flashback" - heh heh, yeah - more worrisome though is that I can't spell Jimi's last name correctly. Fixed now! I am a guitar player who was a little too young in the 60's and early 70's to have actually "indulged" in the drug madness. ly, it took Jimi away, but man I LOVE his mellower less feedback indulgent playing (Wind Cries Mary, Angel, etc.)

I didn't miss a minute of the 60's.....HS class of '65, college class of '69.....amazing I actually remember most of it, lol. (I was a Bass Man)

The stains I make are oils.....but i do use them as washes.....um, other wise they would be paints....lol

Hi Joe. Beautiful work! The breakdown of your steps was interesting, and also helpful.
