| | Re: Three owl sticks Very nice Hugh. I don't see many owls topping a walking staff. But maybe now after folks see how nice yours are I will. Tom H |

| | Re: Three owl sticks Hugh,
Those are very nice looking Owl sticks. I agree with Tom - not too many owls on sticks. Great job carving.

| | Re: Three owl sticks Beautiful work Hugh. Outstanding! I just recieved a copy of "The Illustrated Owl, Screech & Snowey" by Denny Rodgers and Lori Corbett, such a super book! Can't wait to try an owl cane now!
I'll be looking for tips.

| | Re: Three owl sticks http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.co...php?photo=3325 ed a close up of the heads in the photo gallery, the above url should take you there. All the sticks are packed up and ready to be shipped.
Bob, I got my Illustrated book on Owls today also. Every bird is different, the Owls especially. I'm commissioned to carve a saw whet holding a Luna moth, wings out a little, and think it might be carved from the illustrations in that very nice book of LORI's . |

| | Re: Three owl sticks Great owls! The feathers are so intricate and the extras on the staffs really make them very fine pieces.

| | Re: Three owl sticks Hugh- saw your first post of the owl stick and thought it was very nice.
have now seen the close-up picture, and the owls are terrific its almost a waste putting them on a walking stick, should be mounted on a nice base for in home display
