Default these are my latest pieces.

I carved this otter, a Bill Prickett project in Woodwork Institute.com, out of Black Walnut. My first attempt was in Sycamore, however my mentor wanted to see more detail. So back to the tools and put little ears eyes and mouth in. The second piece I completed is the tambour clock, from My Chip Carving.com. I did this in Catalpa for my daughterwho is in the process of buying a new home that has a mantel. In progress I have another Tambor clock for my mantel. It is in Black walnut with the same design. This woodcarving can sure make a lot of hours pass quickly.

Hi Dave, the clock and otter both look great!
I like how you did the clock.

You folks are the nicest people that I never met in person. Always full of encouragement. It makes you feel like you are a part of something much larger. The computer is a great tool for ideas for those of us that can't draw well. I use Paint Shop Professional 7 to adjust the jpeg files to fit the piece I want to reproduce in wood. Makes for a good outline tool, the imagination helps fill in the 3 dimensional view. Thanks again for the support.
