Hi All,
Guess its time for instalment IV. Here is the latest progress. I have textured the concrete sidewalk, routed the oak base, carved the legs which I wasn't sure I was capable of due to so many bends and angles, attached the arms and am ready to proceed soon as I get this post done ;O) Picture 1 is a back view of the figure. Picture 2 is a side view of the figure that shows the leg bends. Picture 3 is the figures location in the scene. Picture 4 is maybe a clearer picture showing figure placement. In my next post I hope to have some painting done. Guess I had better hurry if this one is to go to the Mansfield Show in two weeks. I think it is more likely to be ready for the Converes, IN show in July. Hope you enjoy the progress.

Hey Jim,
It reminds me of Gene Kelly in singing in the rain, nice idea, look forward to seeing it finished.

Thumbs up Re: Street Scene

Great looking one Jim ... looks like you got another great looking piece on your hands ..

If it wasnt for the face .. you would think it was Gene Kelly in singing in the rain ..

Gene

Looking good Jim!

I'm hoping you have it all done before Mansfield, I hope to see it there!
I'll be a spectator which is better than a couch tater, or is it?
Any way really nice carving thus far with lots f detail, and I like detail!

See ya,
Doug
