Hi All,
Here is my last in-progress post before completion. The figure is pictured in his final position. The top half of the figure will be painted charcoal indicating the remmants of the lighting strike that has just hit the poor fellows umbrella. I guess it is not too safe to be "Singing in the Raaaaaa....." Hope you all have enjoyed the posts and the final pictures will be posted next week after the Mansfield, Ohio which I am trying to finish the piece for. I find I am an impulse carver and a similar carving by Lynn D made me think of the scene so I thought I would see what I could do with it. My umbrella doesn't measure up to Lynn's, but hey, it just got struck by lightning;O)! Thanks to everyone for your words of encouragement and having a look see! Thanks Lynn for the inspiration your blog has provided!

My apologies as the Mansfield show got in the way, along with a few other projects. Still have about a week of work left on the Street Scene and will post the final soon as it's finished. Again, thought it would be finished by now but no such luck!
