Default Steps to Heaven

I hope I don't get bounced. This really isn't a carving, but dang, it's made of wood by an old man and an old woman and we're proud of it so thought we would show it. I built 12 2 by 3 foot boxes out of 2 x 8 and the rest is history. Took us 4 days and I'm still walkin with a cane after the hip replacement.

It's a masterpiece. Looks like a page from heaven; peaceful, tranquil and hopefully good fishing.

Hey Cliff, yeah it does look good! And it's a good thing there aint one more step. How's the fishin anyway? That's more of a job that I would want to handle in your situation.

Looks great so far, Cliff. Now that's it's built, you can sit on a step and carve a wood spirit, or fish spirit, into the baluster next to each step.

Carve a little something on the handrail and it'll qualify with ease.

I sure would love to launch my kayak off of that shoreline. You have a beautiful spot there Cliff. I grew up next to water but I'm land bound now so I have to drive to get to water.

I agree you have plenty of material to carve now. I say put a seat at the bottom and drop a rod in the water and relax a bit.
