Default State Trooper

I'm sure some have met this fellow when traveling through Ohio. This is a first whittle of a 2 1/2" piece. I usually like to do a fast "whittle" to establish the proportions, and to see if I need to whittle a little larger piece to hold the details. This is just such a piece. For the one that counts I'll go to 3 inches.

Tom, It wouldn't be quite as nerve racking to have this little fella stop me. Looks like you have a keeper.

Nice job Tom! Looks a lot like the "Smoky" bear that I carved last year except no snout and it's human!!!
