| | Spiritface Card Holder Tonight I decided to try my hand at making my very own card holder. I carved this out of about a 4" piece of basswood. I think I got a little carried away on the beard, so I will probably redo it, but I was interested to see if others had similiar card holders that they have made.
I have also attached another spiritface that I carved a while back that I finished with BLO and Deft spray.

| | Re: Spiritface Card Holder Looks pretty good to me. Where are the cards going to go?
Size those pictures just a bit bigger when you post and we'll be able to see the details that much better. The site will accept 780 x 580. |

| | Re: Spiritface Card Holder Well, when I started, I was just thinking about carving another wood spirit, but the block is probably 3" x 3" and I thought if I put one on the other side and cut a slot in the top I could use it to hold business cards. Just a thought.
Thanks for the suggestion on the picture size. I will definitely do that from now on because I feel like it has a lot more detail than the picture allows.

| | Re: Spiritface Card Holder Yes please repost a larger size photo because I am also interested in seeing your details. I like the size of wood your using as some asked if I do desk top size WS. Because I'm still quite new to carving, I'm still practicing with logs. I getting tired of them splitting so I would like to try a wood block like you've just posted.

| | Re: Spiritface Card Holder Here are a couple of pictures that are a little larger. Keep in mind that I did this piece real quick just as practice, but I plan on doing one similiar to make a card holder out of. Please let me know your thoughts. I really need to pick up a few more tools to get my proportions correct.
Thanks for looking!
