Default Something Different

Here something a little different, for me anyway. When finished it will be the hand of a blacksmith holding tongs holding a horseshoe. The hand is mahogany and the tongs are oak.

Hey Dylan, I'm no blacksmith but when I use a set of plyers at work I will place my pinky in between the plyers two handles to help open them. Just a thought. Good Luck!

This looks great!! I noticed what looks like rotary-tool marks...what tools are you using to carve this?? Is it all done by power-carving, or are you using hand tools too??

Looks like a great start. Quite a bit of forethought and design has gone into this piece. Thanks for sharing from the beginning.
