Red face snow habitat

Is there an easy way to put snow on a base? I got something over the net and it was an adhesive spray and white snowy stuff. It's been over a week and the base is still sticky. The adhesive hasn't dried and the snow stuff didn't stick. I didn't put it on that thickly either. Anyone got a suggestion?
Thanks,
Helen

Go to a Hobby Store that sells trains etc, they should have snow that they
use for models.
Hope this helps

Hi Lynn,
thank you, I went on your website and got great info. What again is the problem with Snow-Tex? And what did you use for the base? Is that snow really resin? I don't know how to use that. Or is it a buildup of paint?
I enjoyed your website.
Thanks again,
Helen

Look on the blog for the "Let's Carve This Fella- Part 3" I explain how I go about a snow base without using any resin. The only problem I have with the Snow-Tex or other commercial snow products is that they are not to scale with the figures I do. For a full sized bird or something that media would be fine.

I have used Snow Tex for ten years.. I put it on with a medium stiff brush and just start dabbing close to the carving and working out with it until I get it where I want it.. It dries quickly and I have carvings that were made ten years ago which have held up well . . I sometimes put a little light blue in places for shading . So far the white has remained white . If it is the right consistency, it will smooth out or you can rough it up in places for footprints. Charlotte

Hi,
thanks for your replies. I have carved a full size cardinal and with months of texuring I'm not putting snow on it. I want the snow on the branch he is sitting on and a dusting on the base. I think I've got enuf to go on.
Thanks for all your suggestions,
Helen
