Default Snake Walking Stick

I found this interesting piece of willow at my son's place and decided that it had to be snakes. Pat McGhee painted him for me and she did a remarkable job. Hope you find him interesting.

Hi Deborah, nice walking stick, super carving job too! I like the way Pat McGhee painted your walking stick. By your image it looks irresident, did she use any irresident paints for the finish?

Hi Everyone - Thanks.
The wood is willow
Mottles:- She used a product she called "Hot Shots" then painted over it and it gives that irridescent look.

That is a very attractive snake stick you have there and a beautiful blending of color! I've also "branched" off into this kind of snake stick carving during the past year and must say that I've found something new that I love and is especially popular with kids.

It also gives us a new way to utilize those really curved and twisted sticks that'd normally just be left behind in the woods. Really nice job and thanks for sharing! Woodshop class: Snake walking sticks & others
