| | small Mt. man bust This is the first carving I have finished this new year, he is 4-1/2"tall x 2-1/4"wide. Material is Butternutt.

| | Re: small Mt. man bust I haven't seen a carving from you for a while Gary as you were pumping them out pretty regular before the New Year. That butternut has a neat grain, a wood I have never carved yet. The wood adds to the rustic look of the Mnt Man. It looks like you did a lot of work texturing the hat. Overall, a very nice carving.

Kathy, I like Butternutt a lot better! I am used to carving harder woods (driftwood and such) and I don't like basswood so much anymore.
