Default She was a raven haired beauty, with a mean left Hook

A friend had these rough out's for years, and never got around to carving them, I think he gave them to me so I'd go away and stop asking him questions while he was trying to get some serious carving done. This is my first ever attempt with a rough out, I know it's hard for you to be really critical, but being a newbie, I am asking for direction, I have no idea if I am doing it right or not.
