Default Who Says Cowboy's Can't Be Nerds?

Now here's a nerdy looking Wrangler. The thing progress from my making the thick glasses. Should be a neat little figure once it's finished but don't look for this to be a portent of my changing my style. I respect my boys too much for that.

Well, that raised a chuckle, here, Lynn. And I don't think this is even a change in your style, just another representation of one of the many faces in any career. The only real "wranglers" I've crossed paths with are the few real, full time cowboys at Philmont Scout Ranch (not the summer part time help, but the full timers) and they run the gamut of appearance. Those and a few open rangers up in Ontonagon county a dozen years back or so. Looking forward to seeing this "nerd" finished.

I love those teeth and with those glasses it reminded me of the "nutty professor". Nice job.

As for cowboy nerd's, who say's they can't be nerdy!? Heck, even liberal Hollywood now proclaims that cowboy's can be something else but I'm not gonna touch that one!!!

Ha, great face. I swear, if it wasn't for the teeth I'd think it was George Burns. Looking forward to seeing this one painted, for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Lynn, Did you use your trusty Box Cutter Knife? I tried the Box Cutter and it wasn't confortable in my hand. Beautiful piece as usual.

While I do not use my trusty Old Reliable for the complete job I do use it for the majority of it. That thin, flexible blade just can't be beat for doing extra fine detail, i.e, the eyes, teeth, etc. Also, I like the feel of that big handle vs. that of the normal carving knife.
