| | Ron's Covered Bridge update. Good morning everyone! I talked to Colin today and I told him what I was working on and he said I needed to post some pictures so here is an update on the covered bridge projest. Let me know what you think. I know I need to work more on the road angle and such but need your opinion. |

| | Re: Ron's Covered Bridge update. Ron, Outstanding! You already have dramatic depth with so little of the design established. Can't wait to see where you take this one!
Are those router marks in the sky area? How big are you working?
Susan
Oh - really great shadowing inside the opening of the bridge. Good job, Good Sir! |

| | Re: Ron's Covered Bridge update. The marks you see Susan are from my forstner bit. I plan on taking more depth to erase them. The panel I am working on is 16X23 the larger ones are easier for me. The angle depth of the road behind the bridge is needing more definition I think what do you see. |

| | Re: Ron's Covered Bridge update. Ron, I would wait until you have more of the foreground established. I like the way that back section of road moves right now. You might lose that if you drop it too deep too soon.
After you work some of the front area go back to that road area and check not the road but the land ridges behind the road. I think it's this area that really needs to drop.
Big is good!

| | Re: Ron's Covered Bridge update. Thanks Susan Now I know what was confusing my fingers. The background behind the road. I forgot I was going to take more off it later. I am glad I posted this like Colin wanted me to. Thanks for the help.

| | Re: Ron's Covered Bridge update. Ron, I'm sure not a relief carving expert but this is one of the best postings that I've seen by you. Great job so far!
I especially like how you've "encased" the covered bridge with the puffy, billowing, cumulus clouds in the background. Also, looking at the entrance into the covered bridge gives me a feeling of anticipation as though a car, a wagon, or something is just about to appear. Good depth.
Thanks for posting! |
