Default Raven

Here's my second project. I made a beaver of the same size first. The details are a bit hard to see but I'll paint it in the same style of the Haida beav.
Thanks for looking

That is a very nice stylized figure.

How big is it? and what kind of wood did you use? Please post pictures again after you paint it.

Very nice piece, Totem. My only suggestion is that you carve your lines deeper, to accent them more. This will look great painted - hope you show it off!

I love the Haida style of carving. Even picked up a book a while back to explain the stories behind the figures on the totem. My only Haida carving was a relief style of a wolf.
If you don't mind me asking, do you have a resource to assist you with your carving this style? I've been on the look out for a book or resource to coach me through carving these type of figures.
Your raven looks really good. The paint will make him look even better I expect.

Hi totem,

Very nice work. It won't be long before you're doing a totem.
