Default Prodigal Son part 2

I'll bet you forgot about these....I almost did,it's been so long. Well after many distractions I finally got around to carving the second one this week. If you remember these are going on confessional doors which are about 35 ft apart from each other,,,so perfect mirror images aren't really that important,,,though I did capture them fairly accurately. Now all I have to do is carve the Holy Spirit and the trees, frame them,,,and wait for the sign acrylic to show up and get them back lit. Priest loved them by the way.

Beautiful job as always Mark. They look pretty close to mirror images to me. Thanks for sharing.

ah there they are :-) no i have not forgotten... very nice carvings, and from small fotos look very similar :-) good work :-) ... are those folds on the backside of son intentionally made to look like flying bird (holy spirit?) ...it was not so prominent when seeing only one, but now seeing both, side by side, it is almost first what i notice

Mark .. your mastery always show's through in all your pieces ...

Once again ...a beautiful piece of art ...

the wood is beautiful to look at and the carving wonderful .. love the way you did the fathers face .. it really looks like a beautiful moment of forgiveness for his son ..

Once again .. you have never let us down with your work ...
