Default Prince and Wizard

Just finished this piece tonight. I was planning on a king and queen but ended up with a Prince and Wizard. The wood is birch and stands approx.2.5 ft high.

Nice carvings, the prince looks like he has high cheek bones, like native Americans

I'm awaiting the constructive criticism on the prince. Remember he started out to be a queen - that's why his cheek bones are so high and his lips so full. I added the hair and attempted to make a small jewelled band on the forehead to give the spirit feminine qualities but failed. The band is a poor wood burning job as it wasn't reliefed enough to stand out on its own. Well it was a learning experience. I may add a small mustache to swing the gender more in the other direction

You are doing well Patrick, the wizard especially draws your eye. The band on the prince does look more of an afterthought, maybe you can represent it as a tatoo..... ........ that is what happens when you change your plan! Good practice for you none the less. Certainly much better than I could do on a face.
